The Competitive Weightlifting Program
The Competitive Weightlifting Program at Go Primal Fitness and Training Institute are an advanced training option for those with the time and desire to drastically expand their strength base and proficiency in barbell techniques.
People have different intentions in weightlifting, and for any program to be successful, the approach must be in sync with intention.
Some individuals have some basic movement patterns that need ironing out. They are not enough to limit them from exercising entirely, but can keep them from maximizing their results. For example if your back hurts when you do deadlifts or if you hate the front squat rack position it might be time to seek some help. Others truly want to lift weights and are interested in the sport of weightlifting. If you would gladly trade life and limb for 15kg on your Clean and Jerk, this is you!
The Go Primal Weightlifting Team is only available for approved athletes on an unlimited group training program. Athletes must be proficient in the activities of their sport and be physically, mentally and emotionally prepared to implement a full peaking cycle. Athletes will receive custom programs specific to their sport.
Sample Advanced Olympic Lifting Cycle
Available gym hours for weightlifting team practice are Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 am, Monday through Friday at 1:15 pm, and Saturday at 12:00 pm
Individuals wishing to participate in a program must first schedule a consult with coach Jason Atkins-Tuffs. This time will be used to establish goals and training frequency, assess structural and functional abilities, and test goal-specific skills and capacities.
