Once I complete the IMAP Training will I be recognized as a certified personal trainer?
Yes, you will be certified as a personal trainer. In fact, your understanding of the human body upon completion of the program will place you in the 99th percentile of personal trainers in the country. What you will learn here in 12 days far surpasses the industry standard for "certification." A title or certificate promises nothing. It only certifies that you participated and finished. Of the 1000+ personal training certifications available none require much beyond the purchase of a manual, a few exercise videos, and completion of an on-line test. Our mission is to bridge the gap between over-simplistic theory and the application of useable, result-based material. For us book knowledge is only useful if it can be effectively applied and results, more often than not, are the product of its application. Filling your head with information is one piece. However, true comprehension is best achieved through applying and re-applying under a watchful eye. If you are committed to your own personal re-invention as a trainer, therapist, or coach, and are willing to invest the time and energy necessary to elevate your professional status, you are ready for IMAP Training.

Do I have to be a massage therapist to participate in the IMAP Training program?
No, IMAP Training is not exclusively for massage therapists, although they represent the majority of our students. It is intended for any dedicated health professional looking to build, improve, or expand their practice to include the use of more comprehensive evaluative techniques, corrective exercise, and functional programming to address a variety of objectives.

What makes IMAP Training different?
IMAP Training is not a two-day seminar or internet certification. What we teach requires a dedicated mind, technical precision and practice. The course is 12 full, intensive days of theory, application, and training that goes above and beyond the most recognized certifcations in the field. Furthermore, in order to create a higher standard of education every student is required to demonstrate full comprehension and application of the material upon graduation. The institute provides unlimited email, phone, and practitioner forum support to ensure all of our students have the means to refine their skills by asking and answering questions on topics relating to client assessment, program design, and exercise technique.

As an IMAP Trainer do I need to work in a gym?
Working in a gym is certainly an option. However, most of our students open their own practices or already have one. The level of knowledge and understanding each IMAP Trainer possesses is worth $75-$100/hour. Working in a gym usually doesn't permit this level of pay. However, working in a gym does provide readily available clientele and an opportunity to gain valuable experience working with people. Because the information we teach is not common knowledge for most personal trainers there are opportunities to excel rapidly in a gym setting.

Do I need to be in shape to take this class?
While being fit is not a pre-requisite for participation we do believe our students should exemplify health and fitness. As part of the learning process each student is required to begin training and practicing the foundational principles of health we advocate. This includes exercising, eating high quality food, balancing anabolic and catabolic processes, and understanding the benefits of hydration, sleep, and recovery.

After taking this class can I open my own Go Primal Fitness gym?
Affiliation is a possibility. However, to be considered for affiliation the student must be at least a Level II practitioner. Affiliation is a commitment we take very seriously. Any potential candidate must demonstrate a high level of comprehension and application of the material. The highest possible standards must be maintained for the betterment of the Go Primal Fitness brand and its constituents. For details call the facility.
