Answers

  1. What is a Functional Training Gym?

The word 'function' is defined as the capacity to execute a given task. Function for a nurse is much different than function for a cyclist. Just like function for a fisherman is drastically different than function for a tennis player. Our aim is to identify which abilities will ensure success in your work/sport environment and condition those abilities in a manner that exceeds the actual demand itself. We achieve this without the use of any high-tech gadgets or expensive machines. Our recipe for success is based on effort, precision, and the execution of a well-constructed plan. We understand the biomechanical, neurological, and metabolic properties of the body to such a degree that the certainty of our results is virtually guaranteed.

  2. Do I have to be in shape to train at Go Primal Fitness?

No. This is a common misconception about our gym. Yes, the people who work here are fit. We eat the best food, drink clean water, train consistently, and live the model we advocate. This uniquely qualifies us to work with anyone because we understand what it takes to be healthy and vital. From our clients we ask three things: 1. Effort. Effort is derived from desire. The higher the desire to excel the greater the effort put forth. Change and progress are driven solely by the will. At Go Primal this is paramount. 2. Mental Commitment. Meaningful participation in anything requires a marriage of both the mind and the body. Our gym is designed to eliminate distractions to better focus on the task at hand. Anything short of this is wasteful. 3. Consistency. We do not believe in quick fixes. Real change is predicated on consistent, long-term commitment. The skills and metabolic adaptations realized through training are the result of consistent application of the first two principles: Effort and Mental Commitment.
